Biography
Scott Stephens
Musician, singer, songwriter, skater and more, Scott Stephens is the driving
force behind the musical group Liquid Blue. His group has performed in more
countries than any other, bringing music and a message of unity to people across
the globe. The band was one of the first ever to be certified "green". For more

Scott is a graduate of Alaska Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in
Communications and a minor in Fine and Performing Arts.
After graduating from APU, Scott moved to San Diego and opened
Encinitas Insurance Agency.
He earned several designations including CLU, ChFC, CIC and others. His
agency achieved "National Conference" more that 12 times.
As a teenager growing up in Los Angeles, Scott founded Raw Power Magazine, a
mostly underground publication covering punk and hard rock music. During the
magazines three year tenure, he interviewed the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, David
Lee Roth, Iggy Pop, Ted Nugent and many others.
His first job as a singer was with L.A. based
Electric Warrior, a band
that featured current Liquid Blue guitarist Michael Vangerov (The Grovler).
Michael and Scott were 18 when they started performing together.
Scott first put on a pair of roller skates at age 7 and at age 18 he
became a pro roller derby skater with the Los Angeles Thunderbirds. He
skated and traveled with Roller Games for four years and continues to skate
regularly, bringing his skates on almost every Liquid Blue road trip.
A realist with utopian dreams, Scott is an environmentalist, a peace
activist and passionate about a variety of social issues.
Individuals who have inspired Scott include Ralph Nader, Muhammad Ali,
Howard Zinn, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Leo Tolstoy, John Muir, Cesar Chavez,
Noam Chomsky, Martin Luther King and many more.
Favorite musical acts include Yes, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Led
Zeppelin, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel and early Genesis, Bob Marley, The
Beatles, U2, REM, Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, Black Eyed Peas, Green Day and any
artists unafraid to speak the truth. See Influences.
Of the more than 400 cities Scott has visited, Amsterdam and Paris are
his favorites.
Scott lives a green lifestyle powering his home with Solar panels;
investing in only socially screened mutual funds; using locally grown

Vices include (but not limited to) Absinthe, Kava, Coca tea, Yerba Mate,
Organic/free trade coffee, organic chocolate and other things that cannot be
listed here. Most of these vices were formed as a result of Liquid Blue
international performances. For example Scott was introduced to Absinthe in the Czech
Republic; Kava in Fiji, Coca Tea in Peru and Mate in Argentina.
Currently Scott is managing and touring with
Liquid Blue. He also performs
occasionally with the acoustic offshoot of the band,
Acoustic
Blue.
